The word An-Naba means The(great) News. It refers to the news of Resurrection and the Hereafter.In this surah, initially Allah Subhanawata'la tells about the things that He has created and later He tells about the day of Resurrection and the 2 great realities of the Hereafter- Heaven and Hell fire. It was revealed in Makkah, in order to Warn the people about the sure day of Qiyamah.
